What is Broadband

Broadband or “ADSL” is a method of “splitting” your existing telephone line into two parts that subsequently allows both data and voice transfers to travel down the phone line at the same time. This splitting of the line allows a user to speak on the phone whilst still being connected to the internet, all and a greater speed.

Advantages of Broadband

• Always on connection
• Quicker transfer of data (eg downloading music quicker)
• A fixed monthly cost
• Many good deals comprising of free modem and broadband connection
